Our service exists because many of us fall into a gap between "ride until the wheels fall off" and "I'm never touching anything again, forever, starting tonight." Too often, these are presented as the only two options, and for plenty of people neither one fits particularly well.
The dominant recovery culture tends to run on a single template, and it asks you to accept its terms before it will help you. It wants you to follow its steps in the prescribed order and adopt its language, and it often treats any path that differs from the standard one as a lesser version of the real thing. That template genuinely works for some people, and we would never talk anyone out of something that is keeping them well. The trouble is what happens to everyone it doesn't fit. They get told they aren't ready, or aren't serious, or aren't doing recovery properly, when the honest problem is that they were handed one tool and then blamed when it couldn't do every job.
You imagine the outcome. Your coach helps you get there on terms that work for you.
